La Trobe University is known for its excellence and innovation in relation to the big issues of our time, and for its enthusiasm to make a difference. We are ranked in the top 500 universities in the three major university ranking systems. The university’s 36,000 students are enrolled in a broad range of disciplines including Arts, Business, Engineering, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Agriculture, Law and Science.

The Careers & Employability team grew substantially in 2016, from five careers advisers to 15 staff covering employer engagement, student career advice, and career education in the curriculum. We are focused on developing career ready graduates, developing long-term partnerships with industry, and facilitating meaningful connection between students, staff, and employers through a range of engaging events and innovative programs.

In 2017 we are launching a major employability initiative, Career Ready Advantage, and establishing an on-campus recruitment agency to place students and graduates into temporary contract work.
