At UTS, we are unapologetically youthful in our approach, with innovative teaching and learning practices that reflect industry trends and the rigours faced by graduates in the 21st century. This focus on innovation has seen us named the highest-ranking young university in Australia, coming ninth in the world amongst all universities under 50 in the latest QS University Rankings.

Our reputation for innovation, creativity, and technology has given us a 5-star rating in all eight categories of the QS university star rating system, with our faculties performing just as well on an individual level. Our school of nursing proudly sits 4th in the world among nursing schools, and most of our faculties rank in the top 50 when compared to their equivalents at other universities.

At UTS we are proud of our diverse student talent. With over 40,000 enthusiastic students currently completing one of our 210 postgraduate or 130 undergraduate courses across our 10 faculties, UTS’s culturally diverse campus life, international partnerships, and various research programs, makes UTS an incubator for future leaders in your industry and beyond.

We are not set in sandstone – we are young, we are agile, we are practice-oriented, and we are the right choice for you.

Services and Programs

UTS Careers centres its services around the philosophy that a student’s career begins when they start university. As UTS Vice-Chancellor, Atilla Brungs, has explained: ‘At UTS we have a philosophy that our students should start to think of themselves as professionals, in the broader sense of the word, from day one of their study – not at graduation’.

This belief forms the foundation of the high quality programs, easily accessible services, and tailor-made events Careers offers to students, ensuring that they have the skills and confidence they need to enter the workforce with ease.

Our Careers staff are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential, including developing the skills, composure, and awareness that only comes from industry exposure and the provision of professional development services. Offering assistance with anything from applications and interview techniques, to job search strategies and beyond, Careers encourages students to drop by for a chat to see how they can help make their dream career a reality!
