Queensland Law Society Legal Careers Expo
![]() |
About to embark on a legal career path?
If you’re a student or law graduate, come along to the Queensland Law Society’s free annual Legal Careers Expo on Thursday, August 6, 2 - 5pm at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This event offers careers, employment and training opportunities for students and law graduates by connecting career-minded individuals with around 50 legal organisations.
Several of the organisations are participating in the QLS Expo Career Information Program, a series of short presentations/panel discussions that will be conducted throughout the afternoon. This is an exciting initiative that allows participants to network with organisations, as well as learn more about potential career paths in the law.
Who's going to be there?
Legal firms from throughout Queensland will be profiling their corporate vision and showcasing what they have to offer potential employees.
Gain an insight into recruiters’ expectations and processes at this very important event.

We currently expect to host around 50 exhibitors this year, including government departments:

College of Law Queensland
Corrs Chambers Westgarth
Crown Law, Queensland Government
Freehills
HopgoodGanim Lawyers

Traineeship and practical legal training providers, such as ANU, Griffith University, College of Law and QUT, will also be in attendance.
Job opportunities!
The QLS Legal Careers Expo has been designed to enable students, legal support staff and jobseekers to ask that burning question, “How do I get a job?”
The QLS Legal Careers Expo is also a broader opportunity for law graduates to apply for positions in the legal profession, as well as meet face-to-face with potential employers, learn the application processes for individual firms, find out about graduate positions and vacation clerkships and gain an insight into the unique culture of legal organisations.
Major firms, such as Freehills and Clayton Utz, will be accepting applications for vacant positions around the time of the Expo.
Get set to conquer the world
In an increasingly competitive recruitment market, this is an opportunity not to be missed for anyone who is seriously considering a future in the legal profession.
