Few careers offer the excellent starting salary, work and life balance and job satisfaction that public school teachers enjoy. Undertake a teacher education scholarship with us and in as little as 12 months you could be part of a professional team that is at the forefront of change.
Right now, the NSW Department of Education and Training is offering up to 230 teacher education scholarships to talented students across the state, wanting to teach secondary science, maths, English or technology.
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students can apply for a scholarship in primary education or any secondary subject area.
All scholarships include up to $1500 per annum training allowance, payment of HECS fees and a guaranteed permanent teaching position on successful completion of your studies.
Public school teachers enjoy creativity and flexibility in their careers, as well as daily opportunities to make a difference in their students' lives. First year teacher education scholarship graduates can commence teaching on a salary of up to $60,933.
Applications are closing 10 October 2008, so there's still time to apply for the 2009 Teacher Education Scholarship Program - but you'll need to grab an Info Pack today.
