“Prior to completing university I undertook work experience at the local Boyce office in Moree which was not far from my home. This allowed me to gain first-hand experience of what I would be doing if I pursued a career in accounting in a professional practice. I must have enjoyed it because after completing my vacation employment I was determined to continue on this career path and really make a difference for our clients.
I think I have the best of both worlds – working in a part of regional Australia that I love and being able to build my technical skills. I am currently undertaking the CA program. Boyce is very supportive and encouraging in assisting graduates to complete this arduous program through financial support and generous study leave. The firm also encourages secondments to our other offices (Cooma, Goulburn, Wagga, Orange and Dubbo) for short or long periods to provide exposure to different clients, industries, teams and directors to broaden overall knowledge and experience.
