AECOM: the path forward
AECOM is a global company with local presence. We thrive on finding smarter solutions to some of the world’s most challenging projects across buildings, design, environment, water, mining, planning, energy and transportation. In Australia and New Zealand we are 4,200 people in over 20 offices.
Why is AECOM one of the best places to take your next step forward? It could be our supportive and collaborative work environments? Or our dynamic teams led by some of the best minds in the business? Or maybe it’s more to do with our award winning projects across a range of industry sectors? There’s a world of opportunity and benefits when you work with AECOM.
The path forward to exciting projects
At AECOM, we bring projects to life in the cities, communities and places that connect us, the industries that support us and the major infrastructure that moves us in Australia, New Zealand (ANZ) and around the world in over 100 countries.
The path forward to a collaborative team
There is no one way to describe our team. We are architects, designers, engineers, project managers, scientists, economists, sustainability specialists and climate changes strategists, to name only a few. Together we are united by a common purpose: to create, enhance and sustain the world’s built, natural and social environments.
The path forward to benefits and opportunity
Along with a competitive salary, AECOM connects you to technical and peer networks around the world, professional development programs designed just for you, health and wellbeing initiatives, social events and clubs, corporate discounts, plus much more.
Our graduates say it better than we do, so please read on to hear from our graduates about the path they’ve already taken with the AECOM team.
Our people
Name: Ludovic Renel
Job Title: Graduate Engineer
Degree: BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering/BCom HRM and Management
Joined AECOM: 2009
AECOM has an outstanding learning culture where career progression and professional development are encouraged and supported. I keep in contact with my mentor and he helps me out when I have a question about navigating an unfamiliar situation. It’s been a really good support structure for me.
Name: Gemma Clarke
Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Degree: BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
Joined AECOM: 2004
I design building structures, then create drawings and specifications for construction. Working with a team of design architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, CAD technicians and contractors, I model the structures in various materials such as concrete, steel and timber with help from computer analysis.
Name: Mark Barnett
Job Title: Environmental Scientist
Degree: BSc Environmental Science (Hons)
Joined AECOM: 2007
There’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ workday – variety is definitely one of the highlights of the job. My tasks depend on the phase of a project, so I could be involved in client consultations, out in the field supervising the installation of groundwater monitoring bores, or at my desk writing up the latest investigative results.
