Help improve your community with the NSW Treasury

NSW Treasury is the State Government’s principal adviser on financial management policy and economic conditions. The services we provide are focused at promoting better public services and a stronger economy. Ultimately, we aim for an improved standard of living for the people of NSW. Achieving this hinges on how well we work as individuals and as an organisation. NSW Treasury is looking for people who want to be part of that success.
NSW Treasury is seeking graduates with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills to work on challenging projects as part of our team. We have approximately 270 staff located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Close to the Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay, Sydney’s shopping districts and with easy access to public transport, it’s a great place to work.
NSW Treasury offers a one year structure graduate program with the following features:
- Graduates are offered permanent positions in a professional and dynamic working environment.
- Placements are organised in three different areas during your graduate year where you will be exposed to a variety of work, people, teams and managers.
- Graduates will be given a buddy in each area and will be supported by graduates from previous years. Your buddy will help you understand the work we do and how we do it.
- There will be ongoing learning and development opportunities including on the job training and programs designed to develop and enhance technical and interpersonal skills.
- Graduates can also use our generous study leave and financial assistance for further tertiary study.
- Towards the end of your graduate year you will be amazed at the diverse range of work options available, and you will be involved in your final placement.
We are looking for graduates with accounting, finance, economics, commerce, business or related degrees who thrive on challenge and have high level written and interpersonal skills, the ability to negotiate and discuss policy issues, high level financial analytical skills and an aptitude for solving complex issues.
