Are you a future leader looking to kick-start your career in an innovative, collaborative and customer centric industry? Then one of our three Talent Programs might be just right for you.

We offer the Scholar, Cadet and the Graduate Programs, which we employ across a broad range of Engineering and Business streams.

Opportunities are available across the state’s leading Transport agencies including Roads and Maritime Services, Sydney Trains, NSW Trains, State Transit Authority and the Transport Management Centre.

As a Graduate, Cadet or Scholar with Transport for NSW, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of interesting projects such as the North West Rail Link, Sydney Light Rail Program and the Power Supply Upgrade Program.

Scholar Program

Are you a high achiever who wants to gain some practical experience whilst studying? Our scholarship program takes high achieving secondary school students entering their first year of university and provides them with practical experience in a flexible work schedule. Upon completion of your three-year scholarship program you will be given the opportunity to join the TfNSW Cadetship.

Cadet Program

You’ll spend a minimum of 14 hours (35 hours during holidays) per week during your program getting practical, paid experience in areas that are of interest to you. We ensure you have a development plan in place and work with you to take you where you want to be. Upon completion of the Cadetship program you could have the opportunity to stream into the Graduate Program.

Graduate Program

You’ll have opportunities to gain valuable, hands-on experience within a number of different streams in your discipline area and absorb key business knowledge whilst developing your leadership skills.
