Why not join the 113,000 strong global workforce at one of New Zealand’s leading professional services firms delivering audit, tax and advisory services:  get fantastic professional training; be yourself; continue learning; work with some great people; contribute to boosting your client’s performance; reduce their tax; advise them; and generally help them to sleep at night.

The key to success is all about striking the right balance.  KPMG can give you the best possible start to your career because we understand the importance of balance.  Our friendly culture and professional environment will help you achieve that.

Our culture and values

We have a unique culture where we respect the individual and encourage people to be themselves. We believe this open and friendly atmosphere is what sets KPMG apart.  And being an employer of choice for us is about valuing the diversity of our staff, and nurturing their different skills, talents, experiences and perspectives.

Our people strengthen their professionalism and integrity in an environment where we work together and are committed to being open and honest.  The result is a global network of professionals who provide insights to clients with whom they enjoy successful and longstanding relationships.

Learning and development, both personally and professionally, is continuous and we provide the support, training and opportunities for our people to take charge of their own careers and lead by example amongst their peers and within the business community.

KPMG has a strong sense of common purpose, we are committed to our communities and have a shared set of global values.  Our people know what is expected of them, and what they can expect from KPMG.

What we offer

KPMG offers short-term summer internships to students and long-term graduate career programmes. Nationally, we recruit around 125 students annually across our five offices.

Seeking...

We look for people with energy and enthusiasm who don’t leave their personality at home when they come to work each day.  Yes, we like people who are achievement focused, but it’s just as important that you are well-rounded and have a range of social and community interests.

You need to be an innovative thinker, a good team player, have a practical approach to problem solving and be able to communicate ideas with conviction and passion.  KPMG is interested in people who want to keep learning, provide insight, solve problems and make a difference.

Degree/disciplines

You will need a commerce/business degree and be able to meet the NZICA or CPA requirements.  Our Tax division will also consider applications from graduates with a law degree instead of or as well as a commerce/business degree.
