NT Treasury

As a central government agency, Northern Territory Treasury is a trusted and influential adviser to the Northern Territory Government and is involved across the range of Government’s activities. Our mission is to promote sustainable fiscal strength, economic development and improved social wellbeing for Territorians.

What We Offer
Treasury’s workforce is dynamic, young and professional with skills and knowledge in economics, accounting, commerce, law, resource management, information communication and technology, policy and corporate services.

Treasury’s Graduate Program is well recognised and highly regarded within the Territory public sector. The program is a year-long learning experience where graduates are provided with hands-on work experience in various Treasury business units as well as a comprehensive personal and professional training and development package.

You will have opportunities to work directly with highly sensitive and confidential information involving leading edge government policy issues and major government projects, be involved in agency and whole of government financial information and planning, develop and improve legislation, and audit and investigate compliance with tax laws.

Treasury services a smaller jurisdiction than our larger interstate counterparts so there are greater opportunities to gain experience across a broad range of government issues. Treasury is a great place for anyone starting their new career, with significant opportunities for internal advancement, career development and networking.

Treasury offers generous salary and employment conditions and real opportunities for job security on completion of the program.
