Careers at Ford

Ford is fortunate to be in a global industry that moves fast. The automotive industry is a particularly stimulating industry for graduates; it changes so fast and offers immense challenges and satisfaction to talented people. When you consider our sheer size, it’s easy to see why our graduates experience amazing careers.

Cooperative Program

To give undergraduates a real taste of life at Ford, we offer them a chance to defer their final year of study and get their hands dirty by experiencing our workplace for 12 months.

You won’t be surprised to learn this experience pays off when it comes to deciding your career path and you’ll be ahead of the game when it comes to applying for graduate programs.

Ford, in partnership with The Bayside Group, offers a 12-month program (commencing January) during which time students work full time and complete a Certificate IV in Business (Front Line Management). Cooperative positions are generally offered in the following areas:

  • Engineering (Manufacturing and Product Development and Design)
  • Finance
  • IT
  • Marketing and Sales
  • HR
  • Supply Management and Procurement (Purchasing)

Day one starts with a real job and real responsibility. It’s challenging, exciting and the ideal foundation for an interesting and varied career.
