The 10-month graduate development program provides you with:
  • Three diverse work placements.
  • The opportunity to work with other graduates on a major project that tackles real-life policy issues.
  • “Off-the-job” training blocks and other exciting development opportunities.
  • A network of people, including a dedicated Graduate Team, a “Buddy” and mentors who are there to support you and answer your questions.
  • A Certificate Level IV in Government.

Seeking
We are recruiting approximately 40 graduates from various disciplines for 2013. We don’t mind if you’re just graduating or if you graduated some time ago. We value people who have strong skills in communication; teamwork; research and analysis; adaptability; initiative; and judgment. If you have also got work experience, political awareness and/or business acumen, it’s a bonus!

Degrees/disciplines
We welcome applications from graduates from all disciplines, particularly: Economics, Commerce, Public Policy, Business, Law and Science.

Applicants who also have post-graduate qualifications and some work experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional eligibility requirements
You must have completed a minimum three year degree. If your degree is from an overseas university, it must be recognised by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) (www.aei.gov.au). You must also be prepared to relocate to Canberra.
