Queensland Law Society provides a dynamic hub for Queensland’s legal community, engaging actively with our members and the public to provide leadership, practical solutions and reliable support.

We assist more than 10,000 legal professionals at varying career stages by supporting their daily working needs through access to education and training, advice and support services, information and resources and through commercial and social benefits. We also represent our members by taking a position on issues affecting the legal profession and by acting as a leading voice for improvement and change.

Assisting individuals to find the right legal advice is part of our commitment to serving the community. We provide information, resources and publications to increase community understanding of the law and promote the benefits of working with a solicitor. We take a public position on issues affecting Queensland’s laws and legal system to represent the community’s best interests and protect the rights of individuals.

Studying Law
If you are studying law at university, a recent law graduate or undertaking practical legal training, Queensland Law Society can assist in your transition from law student to lawyer.

To help you make important career decisions we provide information about the job options available in the profession and explain the requirements and procedures for gaining admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland and a Practising Certificate.
