The department is a policy, program and service delivery agency responsible for building Australia’s future through the well-managed movement and settlement of people. We play a crucial role in delivering the government’s economic, social and security agendas.  Our work is premised on the need to manage temporary and permanent flows in and out of Australia, and their consequences, in the national interest.

  • project management
  • data mining.

Graduates complete a 10 month program that offers exposure to challenging and rewarding experiences through work placements across various areas. It incorporates structured learning and development that includes formal courses and workshops.

We consider graduates with a minimum three year undergraduate degree from a broad range of disciplines, including:

Arts, Communications/Media, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Asian Studies, Public Administration Policy, Law, Business/Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Human Resource Management, Information Technology or ICT disciplines.
