From helping farmers adapt to a changing climate,
to biosecurity and international trade, the
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
works to sustain the way of life and prosperity
of all Australians. We are a diverse organisation
employing around 4500 people across Australia and overseas. Our staff include policy officers, scientists, economists, researchers, veterinary officers, program administrators, communicators and project managers.

What we offer graduates
Our Graduate Development Program is delivered
over 11 months and aims to equip you with the skills
and knowledge required for a rewarding career in
the department and the Australian Public Service.
