Dept of Defence - Defence Materiel Organisation
Big Projects
The DMO manages over 210 major projects; many are the largest and most demanding in Australia. The ADF relies on the DMO to provide its equipment on time, on budget and to the required levels of quality – the ADF’s operational success depends on us.
Big Budgets
If the DMO were a private company it would be one of the largest on the Australian Stock Exchange. It has an annual budget of over $11.8 billion, and will manage over $130 billion worth of acquisition and sustainment business over the next 10 years.
Big Opportunities
The DMO entry level programs (for graduates, undergraduates and TAFE students) provide you the opportunity to use skills acquired during study while building on your personal experiences. Your work will contribute to nationally significant projects supporting the ADF that are complex and highly valued.
The 18-month graduate program consists of three work rotations, including assistance to achieve industry-based professional recognition. The DMO is committed to the professional development of its people and all relevant development is centrally funded.
Our undergraduate and TAFE student programs provide real life work experience and financial support while you complete your study. The undergraduate program provides direct entry to the graduate program on successful completion of your degree.
DMO’s generous remuneration package (graduates from $56,996 – undergraduates from $28,563 – and TAFE students from $43,844), conditions of service and leave benefits will contribute to you enjoying a happy work-life balance.
