There are over 4,000 different types of jobs in Brisbane City Council, and everyone has a role to play in making Brisbane an even better place to live. 

Council has a myriad of projects on the go at any one time that aim to enhance the natural environment, plan for our future, improve public transport and minimise traffic congestion.

Our Graduate Program

The Graduate Development Program is a two-year program, with four 6-month placements offered touniversity graduates looking for the opportunity to build on the knowledge and skills developed from their study. As a Council graduate you have the opportunity to work in a number of different areas within your discipline aswell as take on exciting opportunities while learning from experienced mentors.

Our graduates enjoy:
  • a permanent position with a starting salary around $52,000 per annum, plus 14% superannuation
  • flexible working options that help to balance work with your personal/home life
  • study assistance, mentoring and ongoing learning and development programs
  • access to Council’s free gym.
