PricewaterhouseCoopers NZ

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) specialises in taxation, accounting, corporate finance, assurance, business advice, performance improvement and risk management. In a nutshell, we’re helping organisations measure financial performance and improve the way they work.  In NZ, PwC has offices in seven cities, and 1200 staff and partners.

We know our clients are innovative, energetic and acquisitive. They certainly don’t sit back and wait for opportunities to land on their doorsteps. Neither do we.

As a Graduate/Summer Intern, you’ll launch your career alongside other graduates on our structured induction programme (see our website for details).

Why consider PwC?

It’s a big question – and part of the answer is breadth. The sheer scope of our activities means you’ll have more options around the projects you work on and the range of clients you work with. You’ll do work that matters – where do you want to make an impact?

You’ll also work with a variety of people within PwC. The opportunities for you to learn and develop your networks and expertise alongside smart, interesting and experienced people are enormous.

We also offer graduates:

  • Social opportunities such as charity runs, quiz nights, work drinks, sports teams
  • Secondments – more than 70 of our people are at PwC offices around the world from Beijing to Vancouver
  • The best training – expect up to 400 hours in your first three years

Seeking...

There isn’t a “PricewaterhouseCoopers stereotype”. Everyone’s different with respect to degree disciplines, backgrounds and interests. That’s just the way we like it. We’re looking for people who aspire to do well. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator, as a huge part of working here involves interacting with clients and team members. You’ll also need to be highly motivated and give examples of your initiative. We’d like to hear from people who have been doing well at university and with a range of interests – all-rounders willing to learn.

Degree/disciplines

If you’re applying for a Graduate position, you should be in your final year of study. Summer Interns will generally be in their second/third year of study. We offer careers to suit most interests and many degree disciplines, but you’re probably majoring in:

Accounting | Economics | Finance | Commerce Management | Information Systems | Computer Science | Law | Statistics | Applied Mathematics  Taxation | Revenue

Generally, it’s an advantage to be doing a degree which meets the requirements of NZICA.
