WorkSafe Victoria

We are a dynamic organisation employing 1000 people across city, suburban and regional offices. We regulate Victoria’s workplace health and safety, workers’ occupational rehabilitation and compensation systems, and insurance scheme. Graduates work across all three parts of our business: Health and Safety; Injury Support and Service; and the Business Support divisions.

The Health and Safety team have achieved the best workplace safety record in Australia – ensuring that more Victorians come home safely from work every day. Our Injury Support and Service team ensure that when accidents do happen at work, injured workers receive the best possible care and services. The aim is to get people back to work quickly and safely, with lower costs to employers and the Victorian community.  Graduate opportunities are also available in our Business Support divisions including Marketing & Communications, Finance & Administration, Human Resources, Corporate Legal and Information Services.

Our culture & values

We are constructive in the way we provide information, advice and service. We are accountable for what we do and what we say.

  • We live up to our promises
  • We work in a transparent way in an environment which is open and honest.
  • We are effective by working collaboratively to deliver high quality services.
  • We demonstrate care by showing empathy in our dealings with everyone we work with
Conditions & benefits

Our graduates have access to a generous range of benefits, including flexible work hours, gym and eyewear subsidies, a vibrant social club, postgraduate study support, and salary sacrificed vehicles, mobiles and laptops, to name a few.

Each graduate has their own unique program of up to two years duration designed to develop an understanding of what we do, and to build skills aligned to our core competencies. We also offer a structured learning and development program to help our graduates succeed.

“Knowing that the work I do helps prevent workplace related injuries, even in the smallest way, makes it all worthwhile.”

  Michelle Cimino, Graduate Performance Analyst

“I’m analysing, researching and writing meaningful reports, even for the CEO – something I never would have expected.”

– Erica Webb, Graduate Research Officer
