NSW Treasury advises the Treasurer and the NSW Government on state financial management policy and reporting, and on economic conditions and issues. All the work we do is geared towards achieving a stronger economy and better public services.

NSW Treasury has around 350 staff and is located in Sydney’s CBD, close to bus, train, and ferry services.

Our graduate program
Treasury’s one-year graduate program offers graduates:

Seeking
We are looking for graduates with Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or related degrees who thrive on challenge and have high level written communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to negotiate and discuss policy issues, high level financial analytical skills, and an aptitude for solving complex issues. The work is stimulating and you will have the opportunity to use your initiative.

Programs & deadlines
Applications open in Sep 2012. Shortlisted applicants will be invited, either by phone or email, to attend a panel interview. Panel interviews will be held in Nov. Referee statements will be checked for applicants who are recommended for appointment. Successful applicants will be advised by phone during Dec. Graduates start in Feb 2013.

Australian citizens and permanent residents only (including New Zealand citizens)

Additional eligibility requirements
You are required to have your overseas qualifications formally recognised prior to Feb 2013.
