What we offer

We encourage all our graduates to achieve a professional qualification, and to this end we offer structured training to help individuals attain this goal. We offer  training agreements with the Institution of Engineers Australia and the Institution of Civil Engineers. Currently we are investigating professional routes with geotechnical and mining forums.

We will help in attaining the objectives of both Institutions by mentoring, on the job experience, and through informal and formally delivered training. During this process we expect our graduates to develop, not only as an engineer able to take rational decisions but also as a person by attaining life skills that will be used throughout their career and further afield.

We are looking for graduates who have the ability to work within a team environment but at the same time willing to take on responsibility, and display initiative in their work and actions. In addition we want people who have a desire to learn new skills and techniques and are adaptable to a changing environment.

We are investing in the potential of future principal engineers and project managers, and whilst Halcrow will provide the opening, it is the responsibility of the individual to grasp the opportunity. Therefore we are looking for people with personal drive and with a will to succeed. It is also mandatory for the graduate to demonstrate a good grasp of technical English language.
