ElectraNet is the owner and manager of South Australia’s high-voltage electricity transmission network. As a regulated Transmission Network Service Provider in the National Electricity Market, our role is to provide the high voltage large capacity network that transports power over long distances and to remote areas.
We have over 150 Engineers working on a technically challenging range of major capital projects worth in excess of $200 million a year – which form part of ElectraNet’s $1 billion five-year expansion plans for South Australia. Our high-voltage electricity network developments underpin the State’s economic growth as well as the prosperity of the South Australian community.

Our Vacation Employment initiative is intended to provide links between academia and industry where students gain experience either during their vacation or as part of a compulsory component in obtaining their qualification. ElectraNet’s summer vacation positions are advertised annually in June, providing engineering undergraduates with an opportunity to work alongside our in-house engineering experts. Students gain an insight into the rewarding engineering challenges on offer at ElectraNet and also learn more about the benefits that our exciting two to three year Graduate Program can make possible.
