CONTRIBUTION
The ABS’s contribution to the Australian and international community is second to none. Alongside our national population census and economic accounts (GDP and inflation figures), the ABS delivers leading statistical surveys and publications for each demographic and industry segments of the Australian population and economy.

DEVELOPMENT
Over 10 months you will be exposed to both formal and on the job training software and business processes, section rotations (in some areas) with professional development mentors as well as external networking events. You will be offered unique training courses while learning methods of data collection and implementing new strategies to improve the quality of information and shared – you will be shaping the future of our organisation.
COMMUNITY AND ENVIRONMENT
You will be encouraged to share your skills and ideas with your team and the ABS through relationship building and networking. In addition the ABS strengthens its people culture through an array of professional development and social events. The ABS is committed to an environmentally responsible approach in delivering its business objectives.
CAREER
The ABS provides a holistic approach to employment where commitment to deliverables and development is matched with flexible work-life conditions. With eight offices around Australia there are career opportunities in both statistical and non-statistical areas such as fieldwork, developing new methodologies, technology projects, corporate services and working on publications.
