What we offer graduates

Under our two-year graduate program, a dedicated graduate coordinator supports you and coordinates your activities.

You will gain broad experience through a series of rotations (usually six months each) across a number of areas of our business. Graduate positions change each year depending on our organisation’s needs.

Our values

You will be working with leading-edge technology and modern systems in a safe, equitable and diverse environment. Our organisation’s values mean we:

  • Encourage each other to reach our full potential.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all we do.
  • Reward achievement, initiative and innovation.
  • Exhibit a high level of integrity and ethical behaviour.
Development

A structured learning program exists for first-year graduates to provide broad based skills. For second-year graduates, specialised training is provided which assists in fast-tracking them into their career.

Benefits

Work commences in January starting with a formal induction on your first day where you will meet your manager and other graduates on the program.  Starting salary is around $45,000 (plus superannuation) for a 37.5 hour week.  Regular reviews for advancement are available and start and finish times are flexible so you are not locked in to a “9 to 5” job.

Other benefits of the program include free parking and metro travel, subsidised country travel, corporate apparel, buddy and mentor programs, study assistance, free gym and health & wellness programs.

The aim of the PTA is to make public transport an attractive and sustainable choice for connecting people and places.
