Professional Development Program (Engineering)
Our program provides opportunity to gain experience within the water industry, including exposure to operations, asset management, engineering design, project management, capital works and R&D.
Annual rotations
Graduates rotate across various functions within the business to broaden their experience. Opportunities exist to work within United Water’s operations in Adelaide, Ballarat or New Zealand. Parent company opportunities also exist within Australia or overseas.
Professional Engineering Status
We provide support and mentoring for participants to obtain their Chartered Engineering status (CPEng).
Regular Feedback
Participants are involved in an annual career planning discussion and annual performance reviews.
Training Opportunities
United Water provides formal and on-the-job training. Opportunities for postgraduate studies also exist.
Work Experience Program
Targeted at engineering students in their penultimate year of study, paid vacation work is available from December to February each year. Students are assigned formal projects, mentors and are involved in plant tours, meetings, presentations, and on-the-job training.
