Seymour Whyte Constructions

Our Reputation
Seymour Whyte is well regarded by our clients and peers in the civil construction industry for having a reputation of delivering first class products and a culture of developing highly competent project personnel.  This reputation has been built over the past 20 years throughout Queensland and NSW constructing roads and bridges, heavy industry infrastructure, aquatic and commercial facilities, of which we are proud.

Our Future

The next five years will see Seymour Whyte capitalising on our market positioning in Queensland, NSW and NT through ambitious diversification and strategic objectives. This will see us undertake civil projects relating to roads, bridges, rail, mining/energy, water, buildings and airport facilities.

Graduate Development Program

SWC offers enormous opportunities through our structured Graduate Development Program.  During your first two years with us  you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of project locations throughout Qld and NSW Central Coast. You will build on the knowledge you have gained at university and develop acumen while supporting Supervisors, Site and Project Engineers who can mentor your formative years as a Civil Engineer.

Undergraduate Vacation Engineer Program

SWC’s UVEP allows 2nd and 3rd year Civil Engineering undergraduates to obtain practical, real world experience in the civil construction industry.  The 12-week program will provide you with an introduction to civil construction that builds on the theoretical knowledge you acquire at university.  You will learn through participation in a supportive, hands-on civil construction environment designed to encourage a long term career with SWC.

SWC Civil Engineering Scholarship

SWC is committed to investing in the Civil Engineers of the future.  For this reason, we have developed a scholarship program aimed at supporting and developing undergraduate Civil Engineering students.  Recipients receive $2,500 each semester of their final two years of study. They also have the opportunity to apply for placement on our Undergraduate Vacation Engineer Program and the potential for ongoing under and post graduate employment, designed to assist you in achieving your academic and professional goals.
