Medicare Australia is a Commonwealth Government agency which administers Medicare, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (and equivalent services to veterans), Family Assistance, the Australian Organ Donor Register, the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register and other programs.

We have about 5,800 staff with a central office in Canberra and offices in each capital city. We also deliver services through our branch network of 239 Medicare offices located throughout Australia.

What we offer graduates

Our nine-month graduate programs begin on 5 August 2010. The IT and Mainstream Graduate programs give you the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. Each program includes targeted learning and development opportunities, strong support through our performance management program and a contemporary and flexible approach to pay and conditions.
