Toyota Technical Center is one of five Technical Centers around the world specialising in automotive engineering design. The Notting Hill site (Melbourne, VIC) is a key contributor to the development of innovative vehicle designs for Toyota’s global regional markets and is also involved in fine tuning models for the particular needs of Australia and Asia.

As of December 2007, we have over 120 engineers working on all stages of the vehicle design process in the following areas: Body, Chassis, Vehicle Evaluation, Software, Wire Harness and Electrical engineering.

What we offer

To join Toyota Technical Center means you join a global engineering community and have the opportunity to work with some of the best engineers in the world.

We offer six months in-house training in CATIA, Japanese language and on the job training when your employment starts at Toyota Technical Center. Most of our engineers have developed a level of Japanese fluency which has facilitated improved communication with Toyota in Japan.

When the initial training program is over, you may have the opportunity to gain global exposure and go on an overseas training assignment to our parent company, Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan. There you will develop your global engineering skills and improve your understanding of Toyota’s renowned systems and processes.

You will then return to Toyota Technical Center with even further knowledge in global automotive design and development. As you continue your professional development, you may again be required to take on further overseas assignments.

Our vision is to continue to grow as a center of automotive design excellence that consistently delivers innovative solutions for Toyota Motor Corporation and you’re invited!
